నివాస సేవ is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service, never sell your data, and give you full control over your information.
1. Who We Are
నివాస సేవ (Nivasa Seva) is a product of dasthaveju.com, a Telugu-English bilingual document and community management platform. The app helps apartment associations, gated communities, and home owners manage maintenance, visitors, notices, and complaints.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information:
- Google account email address (used for login via Google OAuth)
- Name (as provided during setup)
Building & Community Data (entered by you):
- Apartment/building name and location
- Flat numbers and owner names
- Monthly maintenance amounts and payment status
- Expense categories and amounts
- President and secretary names and phone numbers
Visitor Data:
- Visitor names, flat numbers, purpose of visit
- Entry and exit times
- Visitor photos (compressed and stored securely)
Community Content:
- Notices posted by secretary/committee
- Complaints filed by residents
- Bill photos uploaded for expense records
We do NOT collect:
- Passwords (Google handles authentication)
- Financial/bank account information
- Government ID numbers
- Location/GPS data
- Device contacts or call logs
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the apartment/community management service
- To sync your data across devices via secure cloud storage
- To allow committee members and residents to access building data
- To generate monthly reports and maintenance records
- To display visitor logs to authorised residents
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database), a secure cloud infrastructure provider. We use:
- Row Level Security (RLS) — each building's data is accessible only to authorised users of that building
- HTTPS encryption — all data in transit is encrypted
- Google OAuth — we never store passwords; Google handles authentication
- Supabase Storage — photos are stored in a secure bucket with access controls
5. Data Retention
- Visitor logs — automatically deleted after 30 days
- Visitor photos — deleted from storage when visitor logs are purged
- Monthly records — retained as long as your account is active
- Account data — retained until you request deletion
6. Who Can See Your Data
- Secretary — full access to their building's data only
- Committee members (president/treasurer) — full access to their building's data only
- Residents — limited access: their flat's visitor log, notices, and complaints only
- Watchman — access to visitor log only via gate link
- Other buildings — strictly no access (enforced by database policies)
- dasthaveju.com team — access only for technical support when explicitly requested
7. Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth — for secure login. Google's privacy policy applies to the login process.
- Supabase — cloud database and storage provider. Data is stored in their secure infrastructure.
- Cloudflare — CDN and hosting. They may log anonymous access metadata.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous usage statistics (page views, feature usage). No personal data is shared.
- Google Fonts — Telugu and English fonts loaded from Google's servers.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Correction — update incorrect information in the app directly
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your data in a readable format

9. Children's Privacy
నివాస సేవ is intended for adults (18+) managing residential communities. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as we add new features. Significant changes will be notified via the app's notice board. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
